[Yukon Territory]: n.p., c. 1900. Glass Plate Positive. A circa 1900 gelatin silver, photographic magic lantern slide (glass plate positive), measuring 3.25 x 4 inches wide, of the Eldorado Gold Mine operating in the Yukon Territory. The paper border has mostly perished, but a pencil caption "No. 6 Eldorado, Klondike. Berry Boys" remains along the upper edge. The No 6 Eldorado claim was held by Clarence Berry. Good. Item #5317
A detailed image, showing active workings, machinery and many men toiling at the Eldorado gold mine. Note that a belt driven water pump can be seen at lower right, actively pulling water from the creek to wash the hand-shoveled gravel piles, as well as hanging lanterns for working through the night.
