Vancouver, BC: [c. 1900]. Mounted Photograph. A circa 1900 (but quite possibly earlier) matte gelatin silver photograph, pasted onto a 6x8 inch card mount, together with a later, c. 1900s collotype postcard. Both items show the same person wrapped in a fringed blanket and wearing a woven cedar hat. Image title from postcard, which is postally unused and with "Thomson Stationary Co., Limited" (in business 1896-1909) printed onto the verso. Photograph w. some rubs and scratches, mount is worn, soiled and stained, with a partial crack at left edge, a few pin holes and part of the original card stand remaining on verso. Postcard w. a faint crease to upper left corner, else Fine. Photograph is Good. Item #4861
Various types of reproduction postcard views of Daisy Bell appear on the market occasionally, but original, period photographs of Daisy Bell are much more uncommon, and as such, make for an interesting pair.
