Tofield, AB: Tofield Community League, c. 1960. Poster. A large event poster, measuring 29 inches tall x 22.5 inches wide, printed in black ink onto heavy card stock, advertising "Tofield Homesteader's Holiday - Mon. July 1st" with a colorful parade, baseball tournaments, a horse show and cutting contest, a midway with rides and a big raffle for a $100.00 bill. The poster was printed by The Tofield Mercury, with Jack Lampitt as President of the Fair and Father Scriven as Secretary. Poster with only minor wear, occasional soil and some tape ghosts providing evidence of it's period use. Very Good Plus. Item #4584
Tofield, a small community 68k east of Edmonton, was established as a town in 1909 and acts as a service centre for the agricultural and residential areas surrounding it.
