Original 1950's Cartoon Strip Archive of "Bobby of the Comics" w. Photos, ARCs & Copyright Patent
New Westminster, BC: The British Columbian Newspaper, 1954. Loose Archive. An interesting look at the start of a young artist's career, with five original 8x10 promotional photos [one a composite w. the artist's cartoon characters], the 1953 copyright registration certificate, three ARCs (Advance Reading Copies) of his comic strip "Bobby of the Comics" and a 1954 broadside offprint of the newspaper article announcing the publication of "Bobby of the Comics" in The British Columbian newspaper. All items are in very good or better condition w. one ARC copy lacking the final leaf and having the artist's name and mailing address typed at the foot of p. 1, the broadside with folds and edge wear. The photographer Glenn Baglo, whose "GLENN BAGLO PHOTO" rubber stamp is on the verso of the later photo of Steven's, is well known for his documentary photographs of the hippie-rich environment of Vancouver in the 1970's.
