[Parade, Photo Album] Circa 1940's Snapshots of Vernon and Kelowna, BC

Vernon, BC: c. 1940's. Hardcover. A circa 1940's vernacular snapshot album (9 x 6 inches wide) containing 35 images (2-1/2 x 3-1/2 or 2-1/2 x 4-1/4 inches wide or reverse) of Kelowna and possibly Vernon, BC. Photos include parade shots, captioned Klotz family members posing in groups and singularly, waterfront, wilderness, an old cabin, etc. with many on city streets, including a parade and a Baptist Church with a sign over the entrance advertising "Boys & Girls Vacation Bible School". The cover title is "Snap Shots Vernon, Canada" but the images appear to be centered around Kelowna. A rustic, wooden album, ring-bound with ten leaves, the first and last two being blanks. Paper appears toned and two leaves have pulled free from the bottom ring, else a nice album with a fine group of snap shots. Near Fine. Item #3841

Contains some interesting period images by a young lady visiting a Kelowna family c. 1940's.
