Madison County, IL: Madison County Superintendent, 1869. Certificate. Teaching certificate (5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches wide), executed in letterpress and manuscript on both recto and verso, for H.E. Mills and signed by the Superintendent J.N. Van Clive, giving the graded results of his Oct. 2nd, 1869 examination on verso. Certificate is toned with two fold lines, a single 1/4 inch closed fold line tear to one edge, light wear and some fading to ink. Very Good. Item #2880
