A 13 page article written by the Colonial Secretary of Bermuda Major Eric Dutton, who gives insight into both Churchill's character and his war time speech preparatations. This appears to be the first publication of the article, for as the author states in his introduction "What follows was written fifteen years ago, and immediatly after the events it describes... I have read it again and think it perhaps worth making more widely known." from the article's introduction. Dutton's papers are now held at the Bodleian Library.
