Bound with all three parts of this extensive report (published over two years) in one volume, being : Part 1 - Eastern Division (Dec. 1914) -- Part 2 - Central Division (March, 1915) -- Part 3 - Coast Division (June, 1915). Half leather over pebbled cloth boards w. title stamped in gilt onto spine, 8vo size (9.5 inches tall), pp. 303, 231, 135, illustrated w. a color foldout map at rear denoting the various partitions of the BC Railway Belt. Binding w. heavy wear to covers, cracked hinges and joints, covers still holding very well, text is slightly toned, but in near fine condition, p.o. name and date "I. M. [?] Lynch / June 17 1924" to ffep and front pastedown, rfep w. single rubber stamp "Crown Timber Office, New Westminster, B.C. Sep 25 1915" Foldout color foldout map at rear is unmarked and in fine condition. Good. Item #2363
It is interesting to note that a gentleman with the same last name as the previous owner of this volume, Francis C.C. Lynch, was the Superintendent of Railway Lands when these Railway Belt reports were being prepared. An historical piece of British Columbia railwayana.
