Thick folio (14-13/16 inches [37.5] tall), printed in double columns, pp. unpaginated (980), 81 (of 82) leaves of plates consisting of full-page engraved illustrations, two frontispieces (Apocrypha and New Testament), maps and city birds-eye-views. Volume lacking both covers, general frontis, dedication and catalogue page, original calf backstrip still present. Text block broken in half at p. 310, second leaf of subscribers list is loose, but present, some water stains found variably throughout, mild cockling to fore-edge, offset to some engraving's adjoining leaves, three old paper repairs noted, one stray pen mark to title page. No Date given. Pub-date of 1782 taken from a dated, engraved plate titled "II Samuel, Chap. XI. Ver. 26" and also meets terminal signing as called for in Herbert. With no date present on title page, it is possible that this copy is an earlier state of the first printing, issued prior to the missing date being noticed and added. A Good Binding Copy Only.
