Pasternak's career as a producer spanned 40 years and he produced more than ninety feature-length films earning him both Oscar and Golden Globe Award nominations. He produced a number of popular films, including Destry Rides Again (1939), The Great Caruso (1951) and musicals with Elvis Presley, Doris Day and Connie Francis.
