Blue cloth over boards, title and decorations stamped in orange onto upper board and spine, 8vo (8-1/8 inches tall), pp. xiii, 592, top edge stained orange, blue map endpapers. Volume with spine ends softened, neat p.o. name and date on half-title page, small amount of foxing to rear endpapers and cloth of bottom board. DJ lightly toned with chips at spine ends, closed tears, front panel detached at spine and front flap with a long crack at edge; verso with light foxing at top of rear panel. Very Good plus / Good. A Dec. 1936 reprint with "1936" at bottom of title page. DJ with price of "$2.50" and "133rd Thousand!" near top of front flap, without the 2nd state review by Dorthy Canfield on the back panel (her review appears on the back flap of this state of the DJ). Ref. FIRSTS Magazine, Jan, 1994.
