Death Traps (Crime Club). Kay Cleaver Strahan.

Death Traps (Crime Club)

New York: Grosset & Dunlap, 1930. Later Printing. Hardcover. Orange cloth over boards, title stamped in black onto top board and spine, all edges trimmed, top edge stained purple, pp. 310, ads. DJ with publishers ads to verso. Volume very near fine with a small amount of shelf wear, insignificant crease to a few pages near fore-edge and a speck of manufacturers over-glueing under rear hinge causing a resultant tiny crack to a small part of rear hinge. DJ with slight soil and edge wear, else fine. Near Fine / Fine. Item #662

A near flawless DJ with the same great artwork (with minor textual differences) as the Doubleday Crime Club first edition, including the same misprint on the front panel "A LYNN McDONALD DETECTIVE STORY. " instead of the correct charcter's last name of "MacDONALD". Unusually, chapter XIII is nearly all newspaper articles reporting the events in the book. An early female detective story set in San Fransico, California. Ref. Nehr, page 33.
