The Gripsholm was the first new Swedish American Liner, built in Newcastle in 1925, and was also the first diesel-engined transatlantic liner. These books were issued post-cruise and published not only as mementos for the passengers but were also used as a promotion tool for future cruises. Contains all issues of "The Cruise News" issued on the trip around South America and features many articles, entertainment reviews, passenger and crew lists and numerous fold-out maps of the cities visited. A great pre-war cruise item.
