[Okanagan] 1920's Panoramic View Photograph of Summerland, British Columbia

[Summerland, BC]: n.p., 1920s. Photograph. A circa 1920's, sepia toned, gelatin silver panoramic view photograph, measuring 3-3/8 x 14.5 inches wide, captioned in pencil on verso "Bennett's Gladiolus Field / Trout Creek Canyon / Summerland / Okanagan / B.C.". Irrigation pipes, fencing and a what appears to be a house on the near ridge, can all be seen near the middle and right-hand side of the photo. The photo has a vertical tear and crease near center and chips from corners. An uncommon image of a beautiful and productive looking agricultural area that may well now be part of a golf course. Good. Item #4772

A local history titled "West Summerland Development : The Early Years 1890 to 1920" has a similar panoramic photo on p. 26 captioned "This area of West Summerland is called Paradise Flat, home to Bennett's Gladiola Farm in the late 1920s. The Flat overlooked Trout Creek Canyon (to the south)." However, their photo lacks most of the 3rd panel on the right side.
