Vancouver, BC: Sandon Oldtimers Committee, 1980. Loose Ephemera. A collection of ephemera from a 1980 reunion hosted by the Sandon Oldtimers Committee in Vancouver, B.C. The reunion was held from August 8th-10th for ex-pats of the near ghost town of Sandon, B.C. and included a dinner at The Arbutus Club. Consisting of 1) an 8x10 color photo [has a few creases] of the group, written on verso in ink is "Arbutus Club Aug 8 & 9th / many not in the picture. Taken Sunday Aug 10/80 - Brunch". 2) Illustrated menu and programme containing autographs from attendees. 3) napkin from The Arbutus Club. 4) a three page mimeographed list of registrants [has a few ink check marks] with an attached piece of velum paper containing an exemplar of the City of Sandon's illustrated seal. Sandon was once a booming mining town with a population of 5,000, having it's own power generating station and service from two different railways.
