[WW I] Yukon Canadian Mounted Rifles

n.p. c 1915. An uncredited military training photo, showing a troop of mounted men in uniforms wearing RCMP/Stetson-like hats and identified in pencil along right edge "YUKON Section CMRs". Waiting in the background are four more troop lines of mounted men (wearing regular military hats) awaiting their turn in front of the camera. The image may have be in the early days of combining the RCMP or similar, with a regular military group, as the compound fence in the background appears to still be under construction. Image w. minor soil and a faint crease in upper right corner ; backer board w. wear and chips from edges, some pin holes at corners, abrasions and paper loss verso. Very Good. Item #3453

An historic image, worthy of additional research and captured apparently, during the seminal days of the formation of a Yukon Military Unit preparing for battle during WW I.
