Montreal, QC: Montreal Standard Publishing Co., Limited, [1915]. Print. A moving wartime image of a grief-stricken woman weeping at a table after opening a package containing the personal effects of her fallen soldier, some of which include his hat, sword and Victoria Cross. Large monotone print measuring 16 inches x 21-3/4 inches wide. Print w. minor toning and soil, some creasing and short closed tears to margin edges, vertical edges slightly curled from being previously rolled. The Ladies Pictorial [London] apparently also published a smaller version of this print, measuring 9-1/2 x 14 inches wide. Near Very Good. Item #3050
