A circa 1900's [?] single leaf letter of introduction for a traveling member of the Royal Scarlet, having their fraternal symbols printed in blue with the relevant text overprinted in red onto lightweight vellum paper, 8-3/16 x 10-1/4 inches wide. Letter is unused, very slightly rolled with a few light creases. Near Fine. Item #2877
The Orange Order is a fraternal organization formed in Ireland in 1795 in honor of William of Orange's 1690 victory at the Battle of Boyne. The Royal Scarlet Chapter is the highest degree of the Orange Order.
