London: Various, c. 1900. Cardboard Box. A circa 1900 collection of five EMPTY dry plate boxes and one EMPTY P.O.P. box from three different London-based manufacturers. Consisting of : Imperial Dry Plate Co. Ltd. (2 boxes) ; Ilford, Limited (3 boxes) ; Wellington & Ward, Elstree, Herts (1 box) - with printed labels offering instructions and giving the various formulas required to develop, adjust and fix images onto the different plates. All boxes complete with both halves (P.O.P. box being a slide out) with rubbing and wear, splits and old tape repairs to some corners. The five larger boxes are c. 5" x 7" and the one smaller box is c. 4-3/4" x 3-1/2" Good. Item #2473

An interesting and varied insight into some of the photographic developing processes available to photographers at the turn of the 19th century.
